In the 1950s and 60s, Marnie's father was a well-known gangster in London who owned many clubs, ran prostitution and gambling houses and, of course, sold drugs.  When she was seventeen, he disappeared and word on the street suggested he was at the bottom of the Thames.  Marnie and her mother were on their own since he left them nothing in a will.  Seems he had spent all of his income and then some on dog racing.  He promised IOUs to every other gangster in town.

One of his buddies gave Marnie a job as a prostitute to make ends meet.  Her mom virtually pushed her into it, as well, since she had been used to a certain way of living and hated to give it up.

Togo paid Marnie quite well to pose and tried to steer her into a different direction.  A friend of his was a modeling agent in fashion magazines and he signed her on.   Marnie became very successful and posed in various high class magazines and even managed to shoot a few covers, as well.  She was about to enter the legit film business and even had a few commercials lined up.

But, her father's underworld pals caught up with her and forced her to pay some of his debts.  Her mother demanded more and more, too.   When Togo's friend inquired where she had gone off to...Togo had no idea.  That was the last he had heard about her.
