It was disappointing enough to the Staff here at Le Muse'e D'Art Du Togo Love when a much-beloved portrait was loaned to a year-long exhibition at a prestigious brick-and-mortar museum... but, we were utterly shocked when that museum was sued by its patrons over the portrait's subject matter. Then, that museum refused to return it to Le Muse'e! Why? Well, after a long drawn out court battle...the portrait was finally returned, but, much to our dismay, it was not the same picture that had been sent. Obviously, that museum had altered the portrait considerably by order of the court so that it may be displayed before their public, as well as, to assuage their board members who were, obviously, from a different class and color than the portrait's subject. Same old, same old.
