Whenever an ex-lover who is on good terms with the Maestro turns up at Le Muse'e D'Art Du Togo Love, she is treated like a Queen.  Yes, there are many women who do show up, but, only a select few who can be deemed ex-lovers and, perhaps, a mother of some of his children are given TLC. 

Sometimes, the women arrive with their children to leave them with their father for awhile.  One or two may simply be there to ask for money.  Or, though it bothers Togo beyond reason, there are a couple who have fallen upon hard times.  Yes, he had always tried to help them.   Yet, one cannot help another who does not want the help...but, only more of whatever addiction had consumed them.  Three times, he battled in court to claim stewardship of a child whose mother could no longer support their needs.   His family at home grew and grew.

At his farmhouse in Southern France, many of his offspring matured, nurtured not only by their father but by the many other women who live there, as well.   He has immortalized most of the women in his portraits.   Just like he had in earlier times when he had painted the women in his mother's bordello.   When he was barely a teenager, she was murdered by an unknown client.  His mother was so beloved by the working girls there that they decided to raise the boy on their own and it worked out rather well...for awhile.   

But, that is another story.
